Scriptures for Today

Job 37:6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
Anticipation. We knew when we went to bed last night today was a snow day for the school children. The tally today was that we received fourteen inches of snow. I didn’t measure ours but it blocked some of our doors.
Not that we couldn’t get out, but it took just a bit more work than usual. I’m glad all I have to do is look at it and of course, we do remember those in prayer who must be out in such weather.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
What a beautiful thought this is. Each one of us on this earth is created by God and each of us has not just intrinsic beauty, but value and purpose. And not just a random value or purpose, but as a flower planted in the garden of God, we are to glorify and point others toward God.
Psalm 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Don’t let ingratitude destroy your joy. Of all the things that can do away with good work and a good attitude is the mindset of being owed something, especially if you don’t receive it. In the end, God blesses with recognition in His time, not ours.
Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
