Psalms 24:8 “Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”
The powerful picture of an eagle, either in flight or at rest stands for an enduring commanding creature. During the times in our lives when we feel powerless, or perhaps we’ve been fighting the good fight so long we feel drained, during all of these times we need to rest in the Lord. Look to Jehovah for our strength. Remember the battle belongs to the Lord.
Isaiah 40:
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Philippians 2:
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Psalms 56:
2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
These scriptures are self-explaining. Trust in the Lord and He will carry us through the tough times. Don’t be like the rabbit that hunkers down in fear only to fly out into the open also in fear and into danger. Fear is not our friend, and scripture often tells us, ‘do not be afraid’
