Colossians 3:23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Mondays can be stressful for many people. Since I’m now retired I tend to look at Mondays in a slightly different mode. Even before I called myself ‘retired’ I was self-employed, so I’ve never really looked at Mondays as the first day back to work. In this first instance no matter who our employer is ultimately we work for the Lord and need to render unto Caesar as unto the Lord.

First Scriptures for encouragement

Colossians 3:

24  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Some parts of the country had snow and inclement weather today. Here we didn’t have bad weather but there was a very white day. As it were the sun did not come out until later in the afternoon. The sunset was pleasant although not brilliant.

Psalms 27:

13  I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

14  Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

1Corinthians 4:

2  Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Jeremiah 33:

3  Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
